FAQ

Are all of these games suitable for young children?
No. Only the kids games list is selected on age rating, with every pick rated E or E10+. The dinosaur, animal and puzzle lists include games aimed at teens and adults, so check the age rating on each game page before buying for a younger player.
Which list should I start with for a family game night?
The LEGO list. Nearly every game on it has two-player couch co-op on one console, a second player can drop in or out at any time, and there is no game over screen to hit.
What is the difference between a cozy game and a kids game?
A kids game is defined by its age rating. A cozy game is defined by its pace: no timers, no fail states and nothing chasing you. Plenty of cozy games are written for adults, and plenty of kids games are frantic.
Are these games on PS5 or PS4?
Every list on this shelf covers PS5 and PS4, with each entry marked for the platforms it actually runs on. There is no PC-only list here.
Where are the co-op and party games?
On the co-op and multiplayer shelf, which has its own lists for local co-op, couples and Overcooked-style games. This shelf is sorted by theme and audience rather than by player count.
