About This Game

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected abandons any pretense of grounded crime, opening with the leader of the 3rd Street Saints sworn in as President and almost immediately fighting off an alien warlord inside a simulated city. From there it hands players superpowers, super-speed, sky-high leaps and energy blasts, that turn the open world into a comic-book playground of pop-culture gags and over-the-top weapons.

The humour, powers and sheer absurdity are the appeal, and what players enjoy most; the trade-off is everything underneath, technical rough edges, clunky combat and a story most regard as throwaway. Rated Mature, it is the list's wild card: the right pick for anyone wanting the crime sandbox played entirely for laughs, and the wrong one for anyone after a serious underworld.
