About This Game

Lost Judgment sequels RGG Studio's Judgment, returning lawyer-turned-detective Takayuki Yagami to a case that begins with a groping arrest and unravels into a school hiding a bullying-driven suicide and a vigilante murdering former tormentors. Its defining quality is the two-mode loop: first-person crime scenes, stealth tailing and gadget infiltration on one side, freeform brawling across Crane, Tiger and a new deflecting Snake stance on the other. Critics judged the investigation sharper than the original's, tailing both less frequent and more purposeful, though some segments still drag.

The trade-off is tone. The central mystery is an uncomfortable study of Japan's justice system, yet it shares a game with School Stories side content, dance clubs, biker gangs, a Virtua Fighter tournament, whose goofiness sits awkwardly against the subject. Anyone after a substantial, well-acted detective drama through Tokyo and Yokohama will find one here across roughly thirty hours. Those wanting tonal discipline should weigh the whiplash first.
