About This Game

Goro Majima washes up on a Hawaiian beach with no memory and is captaining a pirate ship within hours. Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii takes the Like a Dragon template of dense districts, brawler combat and absurd side content, then bolts a naval layer on top: a customisable ship, a recruited crew and open-water battles between the street-level chaos. The register is pure farce, and Majima is the one character in the series who can carry it.

Ship combat is the thinner half, closer to a diversion than a system with real depth, and the plot is loose even by the series' standards. What lands is the sheer volume of things to do and a lead having obvious fun. It suits players who want a pirate game with a sense of humour rather than a simulation of sailing.

Highlights

  • Engaging turn-based combat system with unique pirate elements.
  • Expansive open-world exploration across stunning Hawaiian landscapes.

  • Deep character customization options allowing personalized playstyles.
  • Expansion of the Yakuza universe with new settings and themes.
  • Quirky humor and dynamic character interactions characteristic of the series.
