Castle Renovator

Castle Renovator is a first-person renovation sim that recasts the House Flipper template in a light-hearted medieval fantasy. Players restore run-down keeps by cleaning away grime, repairing walls and floors, crafting and unlocking building materials, then decorating halls through mission-based jobs that pay out cash and resources. Ultimate Games released it in October 2022 as an Everyone-rated PS4 title, playable on PS5, sitting firmly in the low-cost, sandbox restoration niche.

Reception has been mixed at best. Critics generally credited the medieval premise as a fresh coat of paint but flagged clunky controls, dated visuals and a repetitive, sometimes tedious repair loop, with several noting the castles are often ordinary rooms.
