The Apollo missions were not our first journey to the moon. In reality we had been there for decades, constructing a military base on the dark side of the moon, the site of the most important scientific experiment in history: time travel. The early Apollo missions secretly brought nuclear weapons from the Cold War stockpile that would power the portal. On April 13, 1970, the portal was activated, just in time for the commander of Apollo 13 to be the first time traveler, going 200 years in the future to a planned Mars military outpost.
